Erasmus+ Project Matchmaking Workshop: A Day of Collaboration and Innovation in Brussels

29/11/2024

On 26 November 2024, the Erasmus+ Project Matchmaking Workshop brought together education and vocational training professionals from across Europe for a productive day of collaboration in Brussels. Hosted by the Autonomous Region of Trento and co-organised by the European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EfVET) and SwissCore, with the support of EARLALL and Movetia, the event provided a timely platform to forge new partnerships and develop project ideas aligned with the recently published Erasmus+ Call for Proposals 2025.

The workshop welcomed over 25 participants eager to exchange ideas, deepen their understanding of Erasmus+ priorities, and create impactful initiatives for the 2025 programme. EARLALL network was represented by members from Trento, Catalonia, Flanders, and Varaždin, whose delegates brought diverse perspectives and engaged deeply in the workshop discussions.

The day began with an opening address from the Trento EU Office and the EARLALL Director, emphasizing the importance of regional collaboration in tackling Europe’s educational and vocational challenges.

Participants had the chance to refine their project-building skills in a session led by Camilla Winter (from Camilla Winter AB) a Swedish Erasmus+ evaluator expert. Her practical tips and advice on writing strong project proposals empowered attendees to approach the application process with confidence.

The guided discussion groups provided an interactive platform for brainstorming and exploring potential project ideas. Small groups worked together to identify key themes, address shared challenges, and refine their project concepts. The collaborative atmosphere inspired creativity and laid the groundwork for meaningful partnerships.

Networking opportunities during the coffee breaks and lunch allowed participants to strengthen connections and explore synergies, underscoring the importance of collaboration in achieving shared goals.

The workshop concluded with reflections on the day’s achievements and a focus on the next steps. Organisers expressed their commitment to supporting participants and fostering ongoing connections.

The Erasmus+ Project Matchmaking Workshop exemplified the power of collaboration in shaping the future of education and vocational training in Europe. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the event set the stage for innovative projects that will have a lasting impact on learners and educators alike.
