EARLALL launches a Policy Task Force

25/03/2025

On 24 March, EARLALL launched its Policy Task Force, marking a step toward strengthening regional cooperation and influencing education and lifelong learning policies at the European level. This informal group has a clear mission: to shape the future programming period and define the role of regions through regular exchanges with its member regions.

The EARLALL Policy Task Force seeks to actively contribute to the development of European education policies by:

  • Advocating for regional perspectives in EU education and lifelong learning policies.
  • Facilitating collaboration and knowledge exchange among member regions.
  • Monitoring policy developments and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Strengthening partnerships with EU institutions and key stakeholders.

By bringing together regional representatives, the Task Force will play a crucial role in ensuring that the voices of regional education authorities are heard at the EU level.

During this first meeting, representatives from EARLALL member regions and associate members gathered to discuss pressing policy issues requiring a collective response from the network. The key topics on the agenda included: MFF Public Consultation – with a specific focus on Erasmus+ and Culture, the Future Programmes – positioning and perspectives from the regions and the Union of Skills – its structure, governance, and the role of regions in contributing.

The meeting set the foundation for a stronger regional collaboration and a more proactive role for EARLALL in shaping European education policies. As the Task Force progresses, its work will ensure that regional perspectives remain at the forefront of discussions on lifelong learning, skills development, and education innovation.
