Centre-Val de Loire Region organised the event “Centre-Val de Loire: Focus on Innovation and Talent in Europe”, in Brussels on September 11. The event was a key gathering aimed at promoting innovation and collaboration at the European level and brought together regional representatives, European experts, and key stakeholders from institutions like EARLALL, ERRIN, and the European Commission.
François Bonneau, President of the Centre-Val de Loire region, kicked off the event with opening remarks, emphasizing the region’s commitment to fostering innovation and addressing Europe-wide challenges in education, skills, and development. Nathalie Boulanger, from Dev’Up Centre-Val de Loire, and Anne-Sophie Gobert-Isambert played key roles in facilitating discussions throughout the day, highlighting the importance of strategic partnerships.
Representatives from various sectors provided valuable insights, including those from the European Commission, universities, and regional innovation networks.
Noelia Cantero, Director of EARLALL, presented an insightful talk on the adaptation of jobs in response to both digital and ecological transitions. Cantero introduced the outcomes of the European Year of Skills and the role of European projects aimed at lifelong learning. She emphasized the network’s efforts to address key challenges and opportunities in skill development across Europe, particularly in EARLALL’s ongoing projects. She also showcased the network’s initiatives where Centre-Val de Loire Region has taken an active role and invited the participants to share with the Secretariat their organisation’s priorities and challenges so that further discussions among member regions can continue soon.
