SMALEI final partners’ meeting in Brussels

On February 25, 2025, the SMALEI project consortium gathered for the final partners’ meeting at. This event marked the conclusion of an enriching collaboration aimed at fostering sustainability within Adult Learning and Education (ALE) institutions across Europe. EARLALL participated in the project as the leader of the Communication Activities, ensuring effective dissemination and visibility of SMALEI’s achievements.
The meeting commenced with a comprehensive overview of the Management, focusing on reporting, final deadlines, and outstanding items. The consortium celebrated the completion of 28 tasks and the delivery of 10 key content outputs.
The external quality expert, Jürgen Will, shared insights into the project’s assessment methodology. The evaluation provided an overview of how partners implemented the SMALEI Matrix, highlighting impacts, similarities, and differences. The expert emphasized the value of the Digital Academy. However, a call was made for more active support from decision-makers and management, increased transparency regarding implementation relevance, intensified cross-sector cooperation, and institutionalized learner engagement in program planning.
The meeting then resumed with a focus shifted to the progress of the Digital Academy. YUVA, as a leader of this task, expressed gratitude for the team’s collaborative efforts, noting the equitable distribution of tasks and the significant contributions from all partners. The Digital Academy, hosted by EAEA, boasted 46 registered participants and growing.
The agenda then progressed to Mentorship Launch, a task led by Glokala. The team discussed the mentoring handbook and an upcoming webinar “Mentor your way to sustainability!” scheduled for March 26, 2025. This initiative encourages individuals to become mentors within their organizations, fostering sustainability through guidance and support.
The meeting concluded with an open forum for additional business, discussions, and brainstorming on potential project continuations.
The following day, February 26, 2025, the SMALEI team reconvened for the Final Conference: Empowering Adult Learning and Education for a Sustainable Future.. Organized by EAEA and EARLALL, the event was hosted at EARLALL’s premises in Brussels.
