Basque VET Teachers participated in a learning exchange in Gothenburg

On 14-16 May 2024, eight Basque VET Teachers and three teachers from TKNIKA, the Basque VET Applied Research Centre, had the opportunity to deep dive into the Gothenburg industrial engineering sector.
In this study visit, teachers visited Göteborgs Tekniska College, GTC Training Centre Smart Factories and Production for Future@Ericsson Lindholmen, Volvo Trucks Plant Tuve and Volvo Cars Plant, Lindholmens Tekniska Gymnasium and YRGO (Adult Education). Finally, they got a theoretical introduction to the Teknik College at Gothenburg Region and the regional Competence Council, a successful collaboration between the business sector, VET providers, Adult Learning Education and the Academy. The teachers were not only interested in the Swedish Education System but also in discussing values, inclusion, STEM/STEAM and Corporate Social Responsibility.
