The Working Life Department in the Municipality of Borås (Sweden) an EARLALL Associate Member, organised an orientation workshop for all managing staff at the department on the importance of internationalisation as an instrument for quality and development.
The workshop was led by Camilla Winter of Associate Member Camilla Winter AB, participants learned about the structure and functions of the European Union and how the EU manifests at the local level. Nicholas Waller, international Coordinator for the Working Life Department, spoke about the recent Erasmus+ Mobility Job Shadowing project in Stuttgart, Germany. EARLALL’s Director, Noelia Cantero, introduced how EARLALL can benefit its members as a forum for partnerships and in the exchange of ideas.
The class rounded off with group discussions on defining challenges for departmental work, how the EU and EARLALL can provide the tools to help meet challenges, as well as how to effectively work in such a process.
EARLALL’s actions on capacity building
This activity is a good example of the capacity-building actions that EARLALL network is facilitating, which aims to promote actions between members to improve its ability to implement their lifelong learning strategies, at the local and regional level.
