EARLALL is pleased to share the successes of our associate member Borås municipality, for having their Hulta ängar’s pre-school as one of four schools in Sweden that have been awarded the European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA 2022).
The European Innovative Teaching Award is a new annual initiative launched by the European Commission in 2020. It showcases outstanding teaching practices within the Erasmus+ programme and recognises the work of teachers and their schools engaged in European cooperation projects.
“It feels amazing to be recognized in this way, says Anette Mesch, principal at Hulta ängars preschool.
We have experienced that the project has made a strong contribution to our preschool’s development and the results show that there have been significant and major changes. The working method we developed through the project has for example strengthened the children’s language development. We are were proud to receive this prestigious award.”
Hulta Ängar receives the award for their project-oriented working methods. In the project, the pedagogues at the preschool studied, among other things, children’s views, knowledge views and approaches within the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which then resulted in Hulta ängar’s core values.
EARLALL warmly congratulates Borås for the recognition of their school’s learner-centred approach, highlighting that learning and innovation can happen at all levels of life.
