01/10/2018 14:46:10 BRIDGE+ Second Partner Meeting

Tknika facilities in sunny San Sebastian hosted on September 26-27, 2018, the second transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ KA3 BRIDGE+ project, aimed at policy innovation in “building up, testing and implementing new strategies of skills development on a regional level with the support of innovative technology.” The meeting opened a space for exchange among project partners, who have already kicked off their respective activities, and fostered creative thinking through think-tank sessions about the inclusion of multiple actors in skills-based guidance.

Project partners were welcomed by Rikardo Lamadrid, Basque Government’s Director of Advanced Learnings and Technologies of the Viceministry of VET, and Rosario Díaz, Head of Services at the Directorate of Advanced Learnings and Technologies at the Basque Government. The meeting was chaired by Andrea Bernet-Bürkle from vhs Baden-Württemberg, BRIDGE+ coordinator. She presented the Digital Campus platform that the partners will share and delivered a presentation about the project’s progress. Afterwards, Bittor Arias, from Tknika, introduced one of the regional examples that BRIDGE+ will study: anticipating future skills and cooperation with regional stakeholders and companies. Also, in the context of the project meeting, a bilateral exchange with an EACEA representative took place.

During the second meeting day, project partners had the chance to visit Tknika’s facilities for VET innovation, featuring, among others, 3D printing workshops and Internet of Things (IoT) projects. The visit was followed by an online session chaired by Rolf Ackermann (from Baden-Württemberg’s Regional Ministry of Education), with a presentation by Dr. Martin Noack abut the MYSKILLS assessment tool developed by Bertelsmann Stiftung and available in six languages. In the following months, a role model of a regional skills development strategy will be described, and the setup of a digital platform for regional competence management and career guidance will begin.

The next project meeting will take place in March 2019 in Östersund (Sweden).
